Happy Monday Class! I have received replies to my initial letter from so many of you! It has been great to hear updates on how you all have been doing. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, we had such lovely weather on Saturday. It felt like spring! Here are some updates from your classmates: Gigi has been going for long walks with her family and her puppy Teddy. She has been playing games such as Uno, Jenga, and her dad has taught her how to play crib! Crib just so happens to be one of my favourite games and is a great way to practice your addition skills! Rebeka was kind enough to send a video message. She has been doing lots of reading and is currently in the process of creating a story. I can’t wait to read it! She has also been practicing her gymnastic moves on a mat in her house. Way to go, Rebeka! Caitlyn has been going on lots of walks with her family and dog Zoey. She has been able to keep up with drumming because of online lessons she’s been taking. We all enjoyed her drumming video we watched in class. Hopefully we get to hear her play again! Owen has become a chef and below is a picture of him making rice krispies with his brother. Looks yummy! One resource I would like to bring to your attention is the ‘Backpack Activities’ provided by the Western Québec School Board. I will provide the link below that will direct you to the site. One link I recommend, as I know many of my students enjoyed the National Geographic section in our classroom library, is the National Geographic for Kids website. It is a great resource for all Non-Fiction information in the form of articles, videos and more! Backpack Activities for learning at home (Click the image): I have also spoken to Ms. Kielback and she says hello to all of you. She misses you all and would love to hear from you. If you’d like, send her an email directly. Her email is: [email protected] Have a fabulous week! Love, Ms. Weir 💛 Dear Class, First and foremost, I would like to say to all of you that I miss you VERY much. I hope that you have been keeping well and enjoying time with your families. I know that you all have fabulous stories and pictures of what you have been up to and I would love for you to share. If you would like, you can email me telling me all about it. You can also include some photos that I can post to our website! If you’d like me to share a letter to the class or simply a picture, email me at [email protected]. Here is what I have been up to- I have been learning to bake! Let me tell you, it is not as easy as it may sound. My first few attempts at a loaf of bread turned into more of a lump of coal… not something you’d like to eat. After my third try though, things started to look up. By the time we are back at school, I will be an expert at baking bread. This means that you all will get to taste my delicious baked bread! I have also been keeping in touch with family. I know that you all remember my baby cousin Aria, who I've mentioned in our beloved circle time, I’ve been spending lots of time with her through FaceTime chats. Lastly, there have been many long cuddle sessions with my sweet Freddy. I will post a photo below of Freddy! These are a few of the things I have been up to. I would love to hear about how you have been spending your time. If you would like to send me a letter through email, here are some questions you can answer: - What are some activities you have been doing? - Have you picked up any new hobbies? - Have you created any art masterpieces? - Who have you been talking to on the phone? - How are you feeling? * I know that I have said before to try and limit the amount of videogame talk during circle time but for now, if you’d like to share about how you got to a new level, or defeated a monster (you all know I am not well informed on gaming lingo) feel free to share ALL about it. Lastly, I would just like to say again how much I miss you all. I think about you daily and cannot wait to hear about your adventures during this time. Love, Ms. Weir 💛 |
