The Magical Bunny By: Rebeka Marsan Today was a sad day. I wanted to go to the beach with my friend Meli-Rose however, la coronavirus pandemic kept us apart. I feel like we have been home for years! We FaceTime with each other often but it is just not enough to lift my spirits. To make me feel better, my mom came home with a wonderful surprise. It was a furry, white as snow…. bunny! I couldn’t believe it! I’ve always wanted a bunny as a pet and now my dream has come true. I had to think of a name for my new bunny. It was not hard to decide because of her color. Can you guess??.... Snow White! I knew it would be hard work to get my two cats and the new bunny to become pals but I was up for the challenge. After giving them lots of treats, training them from YouTube videos and giving them a lot of love, they ended up getting along great! They are just too cute! 1 month later... Today was weird. Snow White was going crazy! Let me tell you about it. Snow White does not have a cage because she is not a naughty bunny. It was getting close to bedtime and I was reading in my bed when all of a sudden Snow White popped out of nowhere on to the top of my bed sheets! Crazy, I thought she was snoozing upstairs. This happened more than once over the last few weeks. Would people find me weird if I say that I think Snow White may be magical?! I needed proof. I set up some cameras around the house. I really needed to see if she was magical or if I needed to get my eyes checked lol! The next morning, I hurried to check the camera footage and you just won’t believe it! Really, truly, you would not believe it if you hadn’t seen it yourself!! Snow White was teleporting all over the house! One minute she was on my bed sleeping, then all of a sudden, she appeared next to her food bowl, then on the TV, and then on the fan!! It was unbelievable!! I really need to get glasses and maybe get my ears checked because I could have sworn that I heard Snow White whispering and giggling on the footage. Another mystery I needed to solve. Mission ‘Get Snow White to talk to me’. I decided not to tell anyone about what I discovered (except for my mom of course). I did not want anyone trying to steal my magical bunny, she is too unique. I decided to act like nothing was going on and brought a bag of mini carrots into my room, Snow White’s fave treat! It did not take her long at all to sniff me out and when she hopped up onto my bed and finally said: ‘’Snow White, would you like dessert? Yummy carrots” I said as I crunched into one. She just wiggled her nose at me. I tried again and again. I decided that I would ask 11 times, my lucky number. On the eleventh time, I was beginning to doubt that Snow White would do anything. I almost fell out of my bed when she said: “ok you guessed right, I do have magical powers”. I told Snow White that I would not tell anyone about her powers and she was so happy about it that she decided to show me a little trick. She wiggled her nose and the cutest little llama appeared in my lap. The llama was a ball of adorable rainbow fur. Obviously I decided to name her Rainbow! She also let me have a touch of her powers so that I could do helpful magic around the house and maybe some pranks on my brother. It was great to have magic to make my bed on the mornings that I woke up late or style my long hair much easier. The secret stayed safe with me, Snow White, Rainbow and my mom for many years (even if my mom didn’t like it when I turned my brother into a frog!). The End Thank you for all the amazing pictures I have been receiving! I can tell you are all enjoying your time at home.
Here is a little update on Ronnie... he has been learning to do the laundry! No better time than now to pick up some new skills. Chores are a great way to help out around the house. Great job, Ronnie! Below you will also see some great pictures of the Art project I sent out. My students are quite the artists. Be sure to check out the new PHOTOS link on our website. I came across some great photos taken over the course of the year. I miss you all, have a great weekend! Love, Ms. Weir 💛 |
